ben.atlarge Dog photography Warrenville, Illinois
I photograph dogs and their humans in DuPage County. Outdoors, in available light, usually while they are doing something other than sitting still.
Paid sessions are what pay for the shelter year. There is no other funding behind it, no grant and no sponsor, so booking one of these is not separate from the project. It is the project's budget.
01
The short one
$175
Enough for a dog with a short attention span, which is most of them.
The long one
$350
Room to let the dog get bored of me first. That is when the good frames happen.
The last one
$300
For dogs who are running out of time. Booked at short notice. I will move things.
02
Free, for shelters and rescues in DuPage County.
A dog photographed badly sits in a kennel longer. I will come to you, work around your intake schedule, and hand back files you can use on your own listings, your socials, and your print material with no credit and no conditions. There is no catch and no upsell.
One thing to be straight about: most of my week now goes to the twelve-month project, so outside that I can take on roughly one shelter day a month. I keep a list and work down it in order. If you need pictures for a specific dog urgently, say so in the email and that jumps the list.

Tell me the dog's name, roughly how old, roughly how much they like strangers, and a part of the county you would rather not drive out of. That is enough to get started.
I answer everything, eventually and in order.
